Treating Trauma Through Body Work

In her video, “How to Process Your Emotions: Mind-Body Connection,” marriage and family therapist, Emma McAdam shares information on the ways that the body stores trauma and discusses ways that we can heal from trauma through body work–which can include formal practices, like Yoga, but can also include physical activities that one simply finds pleasurable, like walking or taking a hot shower.

I am practicing drawing a comic per day, and I like to make comics about what I learn. Here are my “comic notes” from the video, which I found very useful.
